RODEO 3.0 PICK-UP

Isuzu is now offering a Prodrive Performance Pack for the award-winning Rodeo Denver 3.0 pick-up which boosts power from 131ps at 3,800rpm to a substantial 155ps also at 3,800rpm. Equally important, especially for load-lugging and towing duties, the torque rises from 206.5lb.ft@2,000rpm to a solid 258.1lb.ft@2,000rpm. The 0-60mph time is reduced from 16.8 seconds to 12.4 seconds.

Initially only available for manual versions, an automatic version will be available shortly, the Prodrive Performance Pack is fully supported by the Isuzu (UK) 3 Year/60,000 mile vehicle warranty as the extra power and torque are achieved by reprogramming the Electonic Control Unit (ECU) which uprates the fuel supply and alters ignition timing, and not by increasing turbo boost which increases the strain on the engine.

As a further aid to reliability, the engine reverts to standard power every time it is turned off, meaning the engine is better protected during cold starting. Ideally, once the engine is warm, the driver can select the extra power via a conveniently mounted fascia switch.
